Foresthow is a Victorian house set in approximately one and a half acres of its own grounds on the western side of the Lake District in the beautiful Eskdale valley. John and Diane Bromage took over the guesthouse in August 2005 and offer a friendly welcome to their home. They are renowned for their wide choice of options at breakfast, from traditional English, continental to a selection of fresh fruits and cereals. Guests can enjoy the gardens and orchard, walk from the house to the nearby fells, take the steam train to the coast at Ravenglass or up to Boot at the head of Eskdale under Scafell Pike. Wasdale is only a few miles away and the steep Hardnott pass leads to Langdale. There are local pubs within a short walk of the house offering real ales, bar snacks and a restaurant.
